The fight against social isolation

According to INSEE, today more than 6.6 million French people aged 16 or over suffer from social isolation, which means that they have less than one contact per week. The people who suffer the most from isolation are men over 40 who have very few qualifications and are inactive. Social isolation is associated with poor economic or employment insecurity and poor health. 1/3 of isolated people do not have the financial means to welcome their families or their friends, which intensifies their isolation.

There is also a large number of isolated people (76%) who are not registered in sports activities. In terms of communication via social networks, 16% of isolated people communicate only once a month compared to 44% for non-isolated people.
