Medical research

In 2016, in metropolitan France out of 579,200 deaths, cancer was the most common cause. They represent more than 29% of deaths and cardiovascular diseases represent 24.2%. These causes are followed by diseases of the respiratory system, the nervous system and the sense organs. These diseases represent a little less than ¾ of deaths. This is why medical research is essential, it makes it possible to improve all types of care and to try to find treatments for incurable diseases where, despite the advances in science, there are still about ten.
