Today, there are approximately 325,000 children entrusted to Childhood Social Assistance. Half of these children are placed directly in a home or foster family, the other half of educational assistance measures at home are taken. In the 325,000 children, all ages are represented from birth to majority. The number of children placed in care is only increasing, in 2018 alone there were more than 306,800 children. There are two types of child protection measures, the first measure is educational support implemented directly in the parents' home. The second measure is a reception or placement measure, the child is removed from his family for a period of a few days to several years.
